Sometimes, an item isn't right. At Hokum & Snark, we have a customer-focused, easy returns policy for items that can be returned. Customized, print-on-demand and clearance items are not eligible for return.
Our returns policy lasts 30 days. Any claims for misprinted/damaged/defective items must be submitted within 30 days after the product has been received. For packages lost in transit, all claims must be submitted no later than 30 days after the estimated delivery date. Claims deemed an error on our part are covered at our expense.
If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
For items that are eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. These include:
- Gift cards
- Downloadable software products, books, games, or artwork
- Some health and personal care items, such as masks
- Custom-made, or personalized items
- Items that are print-on-demand.
- Clearance or sale items.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds of Custom or Print-on-Demand Items
We don’t offer returns and exchanges for custom or print-on-demand items, but if there’s something wrong with your order, please let us know by contacting us at hokumandsnark@gmail.com!
Refunds of Non-Print-on-Demand Items
If you'd like to return an eligible item, please contact us at hokumandsnark@gmail.com within 30 days of receiving your item. We'll work with you to determine whether the item is eligible for return and to find a solution, whether that is an exchange, refund, or discount on a future purchase. In some cases, we won't ask you to send the item back. In other cases, you'll be asked to ship the item(s) you wish to return to us.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.
If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7-10 business days.
Late or missing refunds
- If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
- Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
- Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
- If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at hokumandsnark@gmail.com.
Clearance or Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately, sale items are not eligible for a refund.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged or if you receive the wrong item. If you need to exchange a defective/damaged item for the same item, send us an email at hokumandsnark@gmail.com with photos of wrong/damaged items and we’ll sort that out for you.

Can I exchange a print-on-demand item for a different size/color?
At this time, we don't offer exchanges based on size or color for print-on-demand items. Your item was custom-printed for you according to your specifications, and we cannot resell it. If you’re unsure which size would fit better, check out our sizing charts—we have one for every item listed on our store, in the product description section.
Though rare, it's possible that an item you ordered was mislabelled and truly isn't the size it is supposed to be. If that’s the case, please let us know at hokumandsnark@gmail.com within a week after receiving your order. Include your order number and photos of the mislabeled item, and we’ll send you a new one, or issue a refund!
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate/account credit code will be e-mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
If you are shipping an item over $75, consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Notification for EU consumers
According to Article 16(c) and (e) of the Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 on consumer rights, the right of withdrawal may not be provided for:
1. the supply of goods that are made to the consumer's specifications or are clearly personalized;
2. sealed goods which were unsealed after delivery and thus aren't suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons,
therefore Hokum & Snark reserves rights to refuse returns at its sole discretion.
This Policy shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the English language, regardless of any translations made for any purpose whatsoever.
